What is KPPL?

The Karnataka Pickleball Premier League — India’s first structured, district-franchise pickleball league. Presented by the Karnataka State Pickleball Association (KSPA), backed by the All India Pickleball Association (AIPA), and delivered by Entropy Sports & Events.

Yes. KPPL is presented by KSPA in institutional partnership, with AIPA backing at the national level.

No — registration is open nationwide to all Indian citizens, regardless of where you live.

Who can register?

Any Indian citizen. There’s no residency restriction and no age limit.

No minimum or maximum age. Players under 18 must have their registration co-signed by a parent or legal guardian.

Not currently — eligibility requires Indian citizenship.

Yes, players of all experience levels can register.

No, it’s not mandatory — but having one may help during shortlisting.

A PAN Card and Aadhaar Card.

₹1,500 standard. An early-bird fee of ₹1,100 applies until 25 July 2026.

If you’re not shortlisted, 50% of your fee is refunded (50% is retained as a processing fee). Once you’re shortlisted, the fee becomes non-refundable regardless of Draft outcome — except if KPPL cancels Season 1 entirely, in which case all fees are refunded in full.

Does registering guarantee I'll play?

No. Registration places you in the Season 1 Player Pool. All registrants go through a shortlisting process, and being shortlisted doesn’t guarantee being picked by a team at the Draft.

Shortlisted players become eligible for the Player Draft, where the district teams select their squads.

No — teams are formed through the Player Draft.

Yes, all applicants will be informed of their status.

How many teams are there?

8 founding district teams for Season 1.

8 players per team (5 men + 3 women).

Will players be paid?

Yes, drafted players are guaranteed payment through KPPL’s centralized player payment structure.

Yes — full prize structure to be announced closer to the season.

What should I wear?

Official team apparel only. Personal sponsor logos require league approval.

This is subject to league rulebook approval — check with KPPL before committing elsewhere.

Depending on severity, this can range from a warning to a season ban, at the Governing Committee’s discretion.

Yes — by registering, you agree to KPPL and its partners using your name, image and footage for promotional purposes, without additional compensation.

Not yet finalized. Players are required to self-declare medical fitness at registration.
