What is KPPL?
The Karnataka Pickleball Premier League — India’s first structured, district-franchise pickleball league. Presented by the Karnataka State Pickleball Association (KSPA), backed by the All India Pickleball Association (AIPA), and delivered by Entropy Sports & Events.
Is KPPL officially recognised?
Yes. KPPL is presented by KSPA in institutional partnership, with AIPA backing at the national level.
Is KPPL open only to players from Karnataka?
No — registration is open nationwide to all Indian citizens, regardless of where you live.
Who can register?
Any Indian citizen. There’s no residency restriction and no age limit.
Is there an age limit?
No minimum or maximum age. Players under 18 must have their registration co-signed by a parent or legal guardian.
Are international players eligible?
Not currently — eligibility requires Indian citizenship.
Can beginners register?
Yes, players of all experience levels can register.
Do I need a DUPR rating?
No, it’s not mandatory — but having one may help during shortlisting.
What documents do I need?
A PAN Card and Aadhaar Card.
What's the registration fee?
₹1,500 standard. An early-bird fee of ₹1,100 applies until 25 July 2026.
Is the registration fee refundable?
If you’re not shortlisted, 50% of your fee is refunded (50% is retained as a processing fee). Once you’re shortlisted, the fee becomes non-refundable regardless of Draft outcome — except if KPPL cancels Season 1 entirely, in which case all fees are refunded in full.
Can I edit my registration after submitting?
No — please double-check your details before submitting.
Will I get a confirmation after registering?
Yes, sent to your email and WhatsApp number.
Does registering guarantee I'll play?
No. Registration places you in the Season 1 Player Pool. All registrants go through a shortlisting process, and being shortlisted doesn’t guarantee being picked by a team at the Draft.
How does the Player Draft work?
Shortlisted players become eligible for the Player Draft, where the district teams select their squads.
Can I choose which team I play for?
No — teams are formed through the Player Draft.
Will I be told if I'm not selected?
Yes, all applicants will be informed of their status.
How many teams are there?
8 founding district teams for Season 1.
How many players per team?
8 players per team (5 men + 3 women).
What's the match format?
A Round Robin league stage. Further format details to be announced.
When and where is the tournament?
25–27 September 2026. Venue to be announced.
Will players be paid?
Yes, drafted players are guaranteed payment through KPPL’s centralized player payment structure.
Is there prize money?
Yes — full prize structure to be announced closer to the season.
What should I wear?
Official team apparel only. Personal sponsor logos require league approval.
Can I play in other pickleball leagues while in KPPL?
This is subject to league rulebook approval — check with KPPL before committing elsewhere.
What happens if I break the Code of Conduct?
Depending on severity, this can range from a warning to a season ban, at the Governing Committee’s discretion.
Will my photos or videos be used for promotion?
Yes — by registering, you agree to KPPL and its partners using your name, image and footage for promotional purposes, without additional compensation.
Is there insurance or medical cover if I'm injured?
Not yet finalized. Players are required to self-declare medical fitness at registration.
Is travel or accommodation provided?
To be confirmed closer to the tournament.

Will KPPL happen every year?
KPPL is designed as a multi-year, growing league — an official annual commitment will be confirmed in due course.
